Topology Validation
The Validation utility validates the entire topology model or a specific area specified by a fence according to criteria specified in the Cadastre Options Dialog dialog. This criteria determines the validity of a parcel in boundary-only mode, which refers to schemas without node features, and also for schemas with node features.
These additional validation rules apply when using node features:
-
Nodes can exist without boundaries.
-
Boundaries cannot exist without nodes.
-
Two nodes can be joined by only one boundary.
-
A boundary can only be one element type and is bounded by a node at either end point.
-
Parcels cannot exist without a collection of boundaries and nodes that create a closed polygon.
-
A parcel can have one or more holes as long as the hole is topologically valid with a collection of nodes and boundaries with its own face ID.
